2015 – 3rd Annual Baseball for Life Coaches Clinic A Huge Success!

For the third straight year, the Baseball for Life Coaches Clinic hosted over 100 coaches from all over the Charlotte area, with quality instruction in all phases of the game by some of the best high school coaches in the state. Keynote speaker Ray Korn, pitching coach at Ardrey Kell High School and 2014 ABCA Hall of Fame inductee, shared some valuable insights as to how you teach young players to pitch correctly, and how you instill in young ballplayers a passion and love for the game.

Alan Tyson, Director of Performance at Architech Sports, gave a fascinating presentation on what happens with your body when you throw, warning signs to look for, and ways to prevent injuries from occurring.

The theme for this year’s clinic was “Fun and Fundamentals.” The coaches moved through 25 minute breakout sessions ranging from “Organizing a Fun, Efficient, and Effective Practice,” to “What Every Good Hitter Does,” along with numerous drills and strategies to bring back to their teams.

Thanks to Coach Travis Poole from Weddington High School for providing a great facility, and to all the coaches who gave their time and energy to make it a special afternoon of baseball.
