2017 CLINIC INFORMATION
This will be the fifth year in a row for the Baseball For Life Coaches Clinic. The clinic offers quality instruction in all phases of the game for youth baseball coaches at all levels. Last year, the Baseball for Life Coaches Clinic hosted over 100 coaches from all over the Charlotte area, with quality instruction by some of the best high school coaches in the state. Keynote speaker Jeff Schaefer, radio personality, former MLB and owner of CBC Baseball, shared his personal story from Little League to the Big Leagues.
The clinic is staffed by local high school, college, and pro coaches. This year’s lineup will include Providence High School coach Danny Hignight, Marvin Ridge HS coach Mark Mennitt, Charlotte Country Day School Coaches Mike Hennessey and Logan Smith, Jeff Schaefer, NCBCA Hall of Famer coach Ed Walton, Providence Day’s Jim Cerbie and Brick Smith, Alan Tyson, Director of Performance at Architech Sports, Covenant Day School coach David Houseton, former MLB pitcher Jack McDowell, Queen’s Grant Charter coach Dan Kerr, Mallard Creek’s new head coach Windell Robertson, Hough HS coach Jimmy Cochrane and many more. ( Coaches are still committing so this list will change.)
The clinic is free and will take place at Charlotte Country Day School in the Bruton Smith Athletic Center from 1-4 PM. Coaches will move through 25 minute breakout sessions ranging from “Organizing a Fun, Efficient, and Effective Practice,” to “What Every Good Hitter Does,” along with numerous drills and strategies to bring back to their teams.

2015 – 3rd Annual Baseball for Life Coaches Clinic A Huge Success!
For the third straight year, the Baseball for Life Coaches Clinic hosted over 100 coaches from all over the Charlotte area, with quality instruction in all phases of the game by some of the best high school coaches in the state. Keynote speaker Ray Korn, pitching coach at Ardrey Kell High School and 2014 ABCA Hall of Fame inductee, shared some valuable insights as to how you teach young players to pitch correctly, and how you instill in young ballplayers a passion and love for the game.
Alan Tyson, Director of Performance at Architech Sports, gave a fascinating presentation on what happens with your body when you throw, warning signs to look for, and ways to prevent injuries from occurring.
The theme for this year’s clinic was “Fun and Fundamentals.” The coaches moved through 25 minute breakout sessions ranging from “Organizing a Fun, Efficient, and Effective Practice,” to “What Every Good Hitter Does,” along with numerous drills and strategies to bring back to their teams.
Thanks to Coach Travis Poole from Weddington High School for providing a great facility, and to all the coaches who gave their time and energy to make it a special afternoon of baseball.

1st Annual Baseball For Life Coaches Clinic
