Jimmy Cochran – Head Coach Hough H.S.

Cochran was named the first Head Coach at Hough High School in 2010, after serving as the Head Coach at Parkwood High School from 2007-2010.  During the first two seasons at Hough, Cochran has compiled a 33-27 record.  The 3rd year program is coming off of a NC 4A Western Regional Championship, an I-Meck Conference Tournament Championship and a 4A State Championship runner up finish.  Cochran’s 2012 team saw 5 players go on to compete at the college level.  Cochran was named the 2012 “All-Observer” Coach of the Year, as well as the Lake Norman Citizen and Huntersville Herald Coach of the Year.

Cochran received his degree from Western Carolina University, where he played baseball and was a member of the 2003 Southern Conference Championship team.  He has also had coaching stops at East Mecklenburg High School from 2005-2006, as well as Porter Ridge High School from 2006-2007.

Jimmy is married to his wife, Blythe, and they have one son, JD.
