Mark Mennitt – Head Coach Marvin Ridge

Mr. Mark Mennitt was named as the first Head Baseball Coach at Marvin Ridge High School in Union County. In five years of existence, the Mavericks have compiled a 99-34 record and won at least a share of the Conference championship every year. The 2011 Marvin Ridge team won District and Sectional championships and earned a berth into the Regional finals.

Under his leadership, with 18 years Head Coaching experience, Mr. Mennitt’s teams have won 7 conference championships, 3 conference tournament championships and 13 state playoff appearances.

Mr. Mennitt has been selected as a conference coach of the year 5 times and the Enquirer Journal coach of the year. He has had 30 players receive athletic college scholarships. His overall record as a head coach is 257-150.

Mr. Mennitt received his bachelor’s degree in History/Social Studies Education from Mars Hill College in Mars Hill, NC. He has been married to his wife Ellen for 19 years and has two children, Sam and Demi.. Mr. Mennitt and his family reside in Waxhaw.
